Why PT?

Why I Chose Physical Therapy
For me, choosing PT wasn’t just about a career. It was about stepping into a space where I could be present for people at some of their most vulnerable moments, helping them rediscover movement, independence, and confidence. I’ve always believed in showing up with compassion, empathy, and the determination to make someone’s day just a little bit brighter. PT allows me to do that every single day and that’s why I’m here.
This “why” is the same reason I’m so proud to be involved with the imPacT FUND. Just as PT is about meeting people where they are and supporting their journey, the imPacT FUND exists to lift up students who may not have had the same opportunities or representation in our profession. It’s about making sure that the future of physical therapy is more diverse, more inclusive, and more reflective of the communities we serve.
I chose PT because I want to make a difference in people’s lives. And through the imPacT FUND, I get to help create opportunities for others who feel the same calling. Together, we’re shaping not just the profession, but also the future of care.
