Abigail Palmiter
Class of 2027
Receiving this scholarship has provided the financial support necessary to continue my education and achieve my goal of becoming a pediatric physical therapist! As I work towards this goal and begin my career, I am committed to increasing diversity and accessibility within the profession to ensure that all patients, regardless of background, receive high-quality care.
Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to work with children, because of this, I knew I wanted my community project to involve children. Over the past 2 years, through the imPacT FUND, I have had the opportunity to present to multiple schools within the area to educate students in 4th-12th grade on what physical therapy is and what the profession involves. These experiences have not only strengthened my passion for pediatric physical therapy but have also shown me how important early education can be in shaping a child's understanding of health and movement.
Through the opportunities provided and fostered through the imPacT FUND, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the power of perseverance and second chances. I am eager to use my career to provide hope and opportunity to others!
