What is Physical Therapy?

If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me, “So wait… what is physical therapy, exactly?” I’d probably have enough to cancel my student loans.

But real talk—when millions of people are dealing with pain, injury, or disability… and underrepresented communities are the least likely to access PT… we can’t afford for people not to know.

PT isn’t just for athletes or after surgery.

It’s helping your aunt walk without a cane.

It’s your neighbor recovering after a stroke.

It’s your cousin learning to move again without meds.

It’s movement as medicine—and people deserve to know it exists.
If our communities don’t even know what PT is, how can they advocate for it? How can they access it

So yes, I’ll keep explaining. I’ll keep showing up, because everyone deserves care and that starts with awareness.
