Kelsey Hurt

Class of 2026

Hello, my name is Kelsey Hurt, and I am a third-year physical therapy student. I chose physical therapy because I have a passion for joining people on their healing journey and be a support system as they work to recovery. Physical therapy is not just helping patients regain strength and mobility but also building confidence in themselves to return to activities they once did. Being part of their story and seeing their determination to achieve their goals is what drives me in this field. I am planning to pursue a career in outpatient orthopedics with a goal of one day working in cancer rehab.

The Impact Fund has continually been impactful in my physical therapy journey. It has allowed me to focus more on my education and clinical experience while easing some of the financial burden of a graduate program. It has also given me the opportunity to connect with other students of diverse backgrounds to come together to support each other on our physical therapy journeys.

I am eager to begin my career and remain dedicated to promoting diversity and accessibility within the profession, ensuring that all patients receive the highest quality of care.
