Alaina Omonode

Class of 2027

I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare and as a lifelong athlete, I’ve always understood the power of movement. When I discovered what a physical therapist was, I knew that was what I wanted to pursue. I think it is incredible how we can use our bodies to help heal itself through movement. Becoming a physical therapist allows me to do what I love while directly helping others.

Receiving the imPacT FUND has given me the opportunity and the means to achieve my goal of becoming a physical therapist. This scholarship not only provides me the financial support to pursue my education, but also gives me the chance to engage with my community. I am so grateful to be able to build ties with other professionals as well as be a part of the effort to make physical therapy a more inclusive and diverse field.
