Perla Perez, DPT
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
I am a first-generation Mexican-American physical therapist blessed with immigrant parents who gave me unparalleled roots to my future. My passion for physical therapy was born from witnessing / experiencing discrimination and maltreatment in the workforce, as well as seeing injuries caused by physically demanding jobs.
Armed with the power of education, I grew a successful pro bono Physical Therapy practice for minorities and the uninsured because I know change starts not just with treating these populations, but also empowering them from the ground up.
I joined the imPacT FUND board and scholarship committee because it is an action-oriented non-profit that holds the same values I had been fighting for, including reaching younger minds, supporting with mentorship, and assisting financially.
